HP EliteBook 640 G9 FAQ

Does the EliteBook 640 G9 have a graphics card?

No. It uses Intel integrated graphics — good for office work, study, video and light photo editing, not for modern games.

Can I upgrade the RAM?

Yes. It has two standard DDR4 slots, so 8GB can be upgraded to 16GB or more.

Does it support Windows 11?

Yes. Its Intel 12th Gen processor is on Microsoft’s Windows 11 list.

What is the difference between the 640 G9 and the 840 G9?

Both use 12th Gen Intel processors. The 840 G9 is HP’s premium 800 series with a slimmer chassis; the 640 G9 costs less and keeps a built-in Ethernet port.
