The Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 15-inch gives you a large 15-inch 2496 × 1664 touchscreen in a body that weighs only about 1.56 kg. This unit has a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1265U vPro processor with 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD.

Is This Surface Laptop 5 15″ Version Right for You?

With 16GB RAM this version keeps dozens of browser tabs, a Zoom call, Office and tools such as VS Code or Photoshop open together without slowing down, and it stays comfortable for years because Surface memory cannot be added later.

The 256GB SSD holds Windows, Office, apps and documents; large photo or video libraries are better kept in the cloud or on an external drive.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Surface Laptop 5 15″ Core i7 12th Gen price in Bangladesh?

The used Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 15-inch Core i7 12th Gen with 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD is ৳76,000 at Digital Computer Shop.

Is it good for programming and web development?

Yes. VS Code, Python, Node.js, PHP and local web servers run smoothly on the Core i7 12th Gen. The 16GB RAM keeps several tools open together.

Can it handle video editing?

It handles 1080p editing in CapCut, Filmora and Premiere Pro for YouTube and social media, especially with 16GB RAM. For long 4K projects or heavy effects, a laptop with a dedicated graphics card is the better choice.

Is it good for graphic design and Photoshop?

Yes for Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom and Canva with large files on 16GB RAM. The touchscreen works with the Surface Pen (sold separately) for sketching, retouching and handwritten notes.

Can I use it for AI tools?

Yes for online AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Canva AI, which run in the browser. It is not meant for training or running large AI models on the laptop itself, which needs a powerful graphics card.

Is 16GB RAM enough, and can I upgrade it?

16GB is plenty for office work, programming, design and heavy multitasking. The RAM is soldered to the board on every Surface, so it cannot be upgraded later.

Does the Surface Laptop 5 15″ support Windows 11?

Yes. Intel 12th Gen processors are supported by Windows 11, so the laptop gets regular Windows updates.

How does it charge?

With the magnetic Surface Connect charger, and also through the USB-C port with a USB-C PD charger (65W recommended).

15-inch or 13.5-inch Surface Laptop: which should I buy?

Both have the same keyboard and processor options. The 15-inch screen (2496 × 1664) shows more of a spreadsheet, code or two windows side by side, and suits desk work and people who prefer bigger text. The 13.5-inch model weighs about 1.27 kg against about 1.55 kg and is easier to carry every day.

Does the Surface Laptop 5 15″ have Thunderbolt 4?

Yes. Its USB-C port supports Thunderbolt 4 for fast external drives, docks and up to two 4K monitors.

How is the battery?

It depends on the condition of each unit. We run a battery report on request so you can see the remaining capacity before you buy.
