HP ProBook Price in Bangladesh (2026): 440, 445, 450, 455 and Every Used Model Compared
The HP ProBook is the laptop most Bangladeshi offices, banks and NGOs bought in bulk over the last eight years, which is why so many clean units now reach the used market. It sits one step below the EliteBook: the same HP business engineering, a tougher build than any consumer laptop, but fewer premium extras and a lower price. For a student or office buyer who wants a dependable machine without paying EliteBook money, a used ProBook is often the smartest purchase on the shelf.
The problem is the naming. A 440, a 445, a 450 and a 455 look almost identical in a photo, and the generation number (G5, G7, G9, G11) matters more than most sellers explain. This guide decodes the model numbers, compares each generation, and lists the units we have in stock right now with live prices. Every laptop below is tested at our Dhaka or Brahmanbaria branch and sold with our service warranty.
How to read a ProBook model number
Every ProBook name follows the same three-digit rule, and once you know it you can judge any listing in seconds.
- First digit — the series. 4 is the mainstream ProBook 400 series. 6 is the higher-tier ProBook 600 series (640, 635 Aero), built closer to EliteBook standard with better docking and management features.
- Second digit — screen size. 3 means 13.3 inches, 4 means 14 inches, 5 means 15.6 inches.
- Last digit — the processor brand. 0 means Intel Core. 5 means AMD Ryzen. So a 440 is a 14-inch Intel model and a 445 is the same 14-inch body with an AMD chip; a 450 is 15.6-inch Intel and a 455 is 15.6-inch AMD.
- G number — the generation. G5 is 2018, G7 is 2020, G8 is 2021, G9 is 2022, G10 is 2023 and G11 is 2024. A higher G number means a newer processor, and usually faster memory and a better screen.
An “R” suffix, as in the 455R G6, marks a cost-reduced variant of the same model sold in large tenders. It performs like its standard sibling of the same generation.
The short answer
- Tightest budget: ProBook 440 G5 or 430 G5 with 8th Gen Core i5. Four cores, full Office and online classes, and the lowest price of any business laptop we stock.
- Best value overall: ProBook 445 G7, G9 or G10. AMD Ryzen gives six to eight cores at a price where Intel models still have four.
- Need a big screen: ProBook 450 or 455 for accounts, spreadsheets and anyone who works long hours on a 15.6-inch display with a number pad.
- Want the newest: ProBook 445 G11 or 440 G9 — recent chips, longer software support, best resale value later.
ProBook 445 and 455 — AMD Ryzen, best value

The AMD ProBooks are our strongest recommendation for most buyers. The 445 G7 uses Ryzen 5 4500U with six cores, already more than the four-core Intel chips in the 440 G7 and G8 at a similar price. The 445 G9 moves to Ryzen 5000 (5625U or the eight-core Ryzen 7 5825U), the G10 uses Ryzen 5 7530U, and the G11 uses Ryzen 5 7535U with DDR5 memory, stronger Radeon 660M graphics and a taller 16:10 screen. The 455 is the same story in a 15.6-inch body with a number pad.
Integrated Radeon graphics on these chips are noticeably better than Intel UHD on older 440s, which helps with photo editing, smooth video calls on a second monitor and light games.

ProBook 430 and 440 — Intel, 13 and 14 inches

The Intel ProBooks suit buyers whose office runs Intel-certified software or who simply prefer Intel. The 440 G5 with Core i5-8250U is the cheapest business-grade laptop worth buying today: quad-core, fast enough for Office, browsing and Zoom with an SSD. The 440 G7 adds a 10th Gen chip and thinner bezels. The 440 G8 is the jump to watch — its 11th Gen Core i5 brings Intel Iris Xe graphics, roughly twice as capable as the UHD graphics in earlier models. The 440 G9 with a 12th Gen Core i7 has ten cores and is the fastest Intel ProBook we carry.
The 430 is the 13.3-inch version: lighter in a bag, with a slightly smaller keyboard.

ProBook 450 — Intel, 15.6 inches

The 450 is the ProBook for people who want a large screen and a full keyboard with number pad. Accountants, data-entry staff and students who keep a laptop on one desk all day like it most. Some 450 units also carry an entry-level NVIDIA graphics chip alongside the Intel graphics; it helps with older games and GPU-accelerated editing, but it is not a gaming laptop. The extra size costs portability: a 450 is noticeably heavier than a 440, so choose it only if the laptop will mostly stay on a desk.

ProBook 600 series — 635 Aero and 640

The ProBook 600 series bridges the gap to the EliteBook. The 635 Aero G8 is the standout: a 13.3-inch magnesium-alloy body that weighs about one kilogram, with an eight-core Ryzen 7 5800U inside. If you carry a laptop every day and want EliteBook-level portability at a ProBook price, this is the one to look at. The 640 G8 is a 14-inch Intel business laptop with the docking and management features large offices expect.

ProBook vs EliteBook — is the extra money worth it?
At the same generation and processor, a ProBook and an EliteBook perform almost identically in everyday work. The difference is in the body and the extras. EliteBooks use a fuller aluminium chassis, brighter screen options, better speakers, and features such as a privacy screen or LTE on some units. ProBooks are a little heavier and use more plastic, but they pass the same HP durability testing and their keyboards are just as comfortable to type on for long hours.
Our honest advice: if your budget stops short of an EliteBook of the same generation, a newer ProBook is a better buy than an older EliteBook. A 445 G9 with Ryzen 7 will outperform an 840 G5 with an 8th Gen chip by a wide margin. If you want the premium build, compare models in our EliteBook 845 vs 840 guide.
Which ProBook for students, office work and editing?
Students: a ProBook 445 G7 or 440 G8 handles Office, Google Classroom, Zoom and research with dozens of browser tabs. Choose 8GB RAM at minimum and upgrade to 16GB if you plan to keep the laptop through university.
Office and accounts: a 440 or 445 for people who travel between branches; a 450 or 455 for a fixed desk where the number pad saves time in Excel and Tally.
Programming and light editing: a 445 G9 Ryzen 7 or a 440 G9 Core i7 with 16GB RAM. Both compile code, run a local database and edit photos in Lightroom without strain.
Freelancers on the move: the 635 Aero G8 — light enough to carry all day, fast enough for client work.
What to check before buying a used ProBook
- Hinges: open and close the lid several times. A ProBook that has been opened from one corner for years can develop a loose hinge — ours are checked and tightened before sale.
- Battery health: ask for the battery report and the design capacity in Wh compared with the current full-charge capacity. Above 80% is good for a used business laptop.
- Screen: older ProBooks were sold with both HD and Full HD panels. Confirm the resolution is 1920×1080 — the HD panel looks noticeably grainy at 14 inches.
- Ports and charging: test USB-C charging on G7 and newer, every USB-A port, HDMI and the headphone jack.
- BIOS lock: ex-corporate ProBooks can carry a BIOS or Computrace lock. Every unit we sell is checked and unlocked.
- Warranty and after-sales: buy from a shop you can walk back into. Our Dhaka and Brahmanbaria branches service every laptop we sell.
